Kindred Spirits Mobile Veterinary End of Life Care was started in 2023 to provide in home euthanasia in Eastern North Carolina, along the route between the Triangle and Crystal Coast. Dr Dan, as he is known, and his wife, Sandy, have been working together in veterinary medicine for over 25 years.

The Johnson's have had a large and varied pack over the years including 3 cats, 6 dogs, a Red Tail Boa, an African Grey parrot, several degus, and one crested gecko. Our own kids walked through life with us as we ran a busy practice, learning the ups and downs, the fun times and the heartaches of pet ownership. We take this relationship seriously and hope to bring your family peace and solace when you need it too.

Kindred Spirits was created to embrace the love we have for our furry, feathered and scaly friends.

Dr Dan has had the privilege of taking care of all sorts of creatures while in practice. Our hope is to continue to work with you, the pet parent, as you navigate the end of life path with your pet.

We are here to help you talk through the process and offer consultations to answer questions for you and your family. We have the medical expertise and compassion to provide you and your pet a relaxed and comfortable end of life experience.

What Our Clients Say

We've been so fortunate to have Dr. Dan be the one to euthanize both of our beloved senior dogs. He showed great care and kindness to our family during the process. Dr. Dan never pressured or rushed us, but allowed us to process one of the most difficult moments for us by giving us time with our dogs to give a proper good bye. My family can not thank Dr. Dan enough for helping us say goodbye to our animals in a way that brought us closure and peace that is hard to find in this world today.
